Frecuently asked questions

TuneCam™ - How to Play Music While Recording Video, developed by Eloi Gil Sancho, is the innovative camera app designed to keep your music playing uninterrupted. Should you encounter any issues not covered in our FAQ, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

How can I control my music without leaving TuneCam™?

  • For iPhones without a Home button or on iPad: Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to access Control Center.

  • For iPhones with a Home button or on iPod Touch: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to access Control Center.

Why does the music briefly pause when I open or close TuneCam™?

This is related to how iOS handles audio configuration for recording while playing music, an issue common across many apps. Regrettably, it's a limitation from Apple's side, affecting all similar applications.

How can I record the music that's playing?

  • For music playing out loud: The microphone will capture any music playing out loud in the vicinity, allowing it to be part of your video.

  • For music through headphones: For privacy protection, iOS restricts direct recording of audio from other apps. To include music, consider adding it post-recording using video editing software like iMovie, ensuring you have the audio file.

What should I do if my video fails to save?

  • Verify TuneCam™ has permission to save to the Photos app. Go to Settings, scroll to TuneCam™, and enable permissions.

  • Close and reopen TuneCam™ to trigger the export of any unsaved videos.

  • For persistent issues or errors, please capture a screenshot and contact us at team@tunecam.app.

Which microphone does TuneCam™ use?

  • TuneCam™ defaults to your device's built-in microphone.

  • If an external microphone or wired headphones with a mic are connected, TuneCam™ will utilize that input.

  • With wireless headphones connected, TuneCam™ will still use your device's built-in microphone to maintain high sound quality.

What does "Available Space: 12 hours of 4K video" indicate?

This metric provides an estimate of the remaining storage on your device in terms of video recording capacity. You can manage and free up space via the Settings app under General -> iPhone/iPad Storage. Opting for a lower resolution like 1080p will allow more recording time at the expense of video quality.

Why doesn't my available storage seem to increase after deleting videos?

Ensure you've also removed them from the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app to permanently clear space.

Where did the "Clear Cache" option go?

We've improved how videos are saved, eliminating common cache-related storage issues. If you're transitioning from an older version of the app and face cache problems, reinstalling TuneCam™ should resolve the issue permanently.
